Google-Extended
Google-Extended is a dedicated robots token Google documents for controlling whether content may be used for Gemini / Vertex AI grounding and related products.
- It is not the same as
Googlebot(Search crawling / ranking). - Disallowing Google-Extended does not remove your site from Google Search under Googlebot.
- Allowing Google-Extended does not promise any particular AI citation or ranking outcome.
